BRIEF: Created for a strikingly unique replacement dwelling and designed in conjunction with highly engaged clients, the kitchen exudes a cool, contemporary aesthetic. Blackened ash cabinetry and matt black metalwork sit against a backdrop of internal redbrick walls and hit-and-miss timber cladding.
CABINETRY: Handle-less, push-to-open shiplap drawer and door fronts are handmade from solid ash and sample-matched to a carefully specified blackened finish. Matt black ceiling-hung metalwork supports stained ash box-framed cabinets, fronted with reeded glass sliding doors. A singular cabinetry run houses all appliances. Integrated warm white LEDs strategically light key work areas.
FITTINGS: Tap-set by Hansgrohe and industrial ceiling hung tube extractor are in matched matt black. Surfaces in Silestone Arden Blue, by Cosentino, exhibit rounded corners and a curved island end. Integrated eye-level ovens and hob are by Miele and refrigeration is by Fisher & Paykel.
