Rowe Road
London
DESIGN: Designed by Emma Ainscough for her private client in West London.
BRIEF: As part of a whole-house renovation and remodelling, Emma Ainscough designed a bright airy kitchen space with triple French door sets, sash windows and multiple roof lights. The kitchen was to reflect the lightness of this Edwardian West London residence. The gentlest of pinks and the subtlest of curves bring modernity and interest to this beautifully understated design.
CABINETRY: An ultra-slim Shaker profile brings a modern look to classic frame cabinetry. Detailing includes a moulded column on plinth blocks to either side of the built-in stainless-steel refrigeration and open board shelves on either side of the range cooker. A curved island skeleton is smoothly plastered, and hand-painted in Little Greene’s ‘Chemise’, with a curved footrest skirting sharply contrasting in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Railings’ with a gloss finish.
FITTINGS: Cabinetry is finished with Corston knobs. Stainless-steel free-standing refrigeration is by Fisher & Paykel, paired with a chrome Everhot range and a Perrin & Rowe traditional tap set in a pewter finish.
